What sets working here apart

Employed, not gigged

We employ our care workers directly:

  • permanent and casual roles to fit how you want to work, with pay in line with the relevant award
  • paid travel between clients
  • rosters planned around continuity, so you see the same people and your hours stay predictable

A Registered Nurse in your corner

You get clinical supervision, mentoring, and a clinical lead to call when a client’s needs change. Complex situations aren’t yours to carry alone.

Training built by people who do the work

Your aged care and dementia training is built in-house by our own frontline staff:

  • practical from the first visit
  • kept current with best practice
  • delivered through the Civitas Learning Academy and paid workshops

Support for you, too

A confidential Employee Assistance Program — free, any time, for you and your household.

Room to grow

We advertise internally first and promote from within. Almost every senior person across the Civitas Group — regional managers, team leaders, senior support workers — started as a support worker and came up with us, because we want the people who lead to know the work.

Work that matters

You’ll support people who need it most — older people living at home, including those with dementia or complex needs — with the time and backing to do it well.

Registered Nurse roles

We hire Registered Nurses for aged care too — clinical and care-coordination roles across greater Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast. You’ll lead care planning, support the frontline team, and work to one clinical standard across every region.

The work

Most of our care happens in people’s homes, one to one. You might help someone start their day, get to an appointment, stay steady on their feet, or simply have company and a routine they can count on. It’s work that asks for patience, judgement and reliability — and it’s work you can be proud of at the end of a shift.

Training and development

We build our own training, in-house, led by experienced frontline staff and grounded in best practice and our policies. Many of our team started new to care — we train you for the full range of work, including dementia and complex situations, with a Registered Nurse alongside you. You grow into the harder work; you’re never thrown into it. New joiners learn through the Civitas Learning Academy and paid workshops run by our Training and Development team, with ongoing development as you progress.

Pay, conditions and benefits

  • Paid travel between clients

  • A current First Aid and CPR certificate
  • A current driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle for home visits

Our team is diverse, and that makes our care better. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
